CAS Undergraduate Research Grants – Applications due Nov 21st

Research will be conducted in accordance with procedures and safeguards normally associated with work in the discipline. Faculty supervisors, as part of the normal pedagogical relationship, will provide guidance on university and professional standards, regulations, and policies.
Undergraduate Research involving International Travel:
Should your proposal involve international travel, please include the ~$50 registration fee administered by the Office of International Affairs/Study Abroad (OIA) as part of your budget. This registration enrolls you in the Lehigh University Student International Services and Insurance Program.
No grant that includes international travel will be approved unless the proposal, and further required documentation, has been reviewed by the Director of OIA, who may seek guidance from the International Travel Advisory Committee (ITAC). Neither the Director of OIA nor ITAC is equipped with the resources to evaluate third party organizations and partners, the quality and safety of at site logistics and arrangements, or the general viability/workability of programs and conditions at site. Once you are notified of your award, you must contact Jodeen Gemmel ( in OIA.  Fall awardees need to contact OIA by November 15th and Spring awardees by March 20th to arrange a review of your proposed plan for final grant approval.
Students who plan to use laboratory animals or human subjects in their research must also include a description of appropriate safeguards. Faculty advisors will assist with guidelines that can be found on the web page of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs.

Proposal Deadlines for Winter and Spring 2015 Projects: November 21, 2014.
