Summer with kids in South Bethlehem

Many staff, faculty, and graduate students at Lehigh University may be about to face one of life’s greatest pleasures – and complications: summer with kids.

While many of us have still have research goals, teaching obligations, meetings, courses, and projects to complete, our children also have interests to pursue and places to explore. For our readers who care for children, here are a few suggestions for summer fun:

ArtsQuest – Banana Factory summer art classes for all ages, and family Ps & Qs concert series

Godfrey Daniels – Check their website for “Jams & StoryTelling”, or other family friendly programming

Northampton Community College – Horizons Summer Camp (offers classes in the SouthSide campus as well as Main campus)

Pennsylvania Youth Theatre Summer Stage

Touchstone Theatre – Camp Touchstone!

Bethlehem Area Public Library – so much more than “just” a reading program!

Bethlehem Area Parks and Recreation Office – Summer programs. (information about camps, pools and events in the area parks)

Of course, since we also link to many online resources in the Lehigh Valley. Here are a few we have found for our readers to bookmark:

Lehigh Valley Camps a local online resource to help parents and care givers find both fun and educational camps for their children.

Lehigh Valley Family Fun: putting parents in touch with proven resources.

Lehigh Valley Marketplace – site for summer camps

Resource of Lehigh Valley Summer Activities for kids.

We hope our readers find this post helpful!
