Readers may have seen this post from a few other newsletters, or facebook links. We share it, too – because it’s important! All students and staff who are around this week should know that forecasters predict a break in the hot temperatures. Even if it rains, the sale is under a huge tent!
Ever wonder what the neighborhood near Lehigh is really like? Find out Saturday, June 2!
Do a good deed that operates on three levels:
serve nearby residents,
save great reusable stuff from the waste stream, and finally,
provide academic support for local Southside youth!
PLEASE VOLUNTEER to help at The Great Southside Sale on June 2. The Sale raises funds for three local Southside Homework clubs and Sside youth programs run by Lehigh’s CSO. Last year
we raised $14,000! This is a HUGE sale.
We need assistance with
the early set-up shift
the BIG DEAL shift from 9:30-noon
the quiet time from noon-3
and cleanup from 3-4:30.
HELP IS ESPECIALLY NEEDED for the BIG DEAL shift when all the fun begins. Please sign up by clicking here
WHAT DO VOLUNTEERS DO?
1) stand on the sides and be a presence (really, no talent required!) – it doesn’t get any easier than this!
2) during the sale fold clothing as fast as people throw it around… folded stuff sells, unfolded doesn’t!

Parking Tip from personal experience – if you park your car on a neighborhood street, you will get a ticket if you park for more than two hours. Better to park on campus (like the Zoellner Parking Deck) and walk over.
