Young Alumni return to Lehigh’s campus this weekend. Just as they experienced as students, Lehigh and the local community are not short on things to do. We suspect that so many alumni will be trying to pack in as much activity as possible while reconnecting with friends, former faculty mentors and the beautiful campus.
ArtsLehigh encourages all returning alumni to reconnect with the arts and cultural available this weekend. Many of the events are listed on our calendar, and highlighted in the “Campus Connections” and “Community Corner” parts of this newsletter. But for now, here’s a few links that might entice you.
(Special note to current students, faculty and staff – you can go to these events, too!)
Coryell Auger Sample Trio Concert – Friday night! Two shows. Intimate setting.
If you’ve ever seen a show in Baker Hall, you know how glorious it is. But if you haven’t shared the stage with the performer, you can Friday night. Two shows at 7pm & 9pm for you to hear and see these fabulous musicians up close! More info here.
Bethlehem Steel Walking Tours. Read about one young alum’s experience taking the tour this summer. If you haven’t been to the new Steelstacks yet, take a look. The building views of the Steelstacks is pure magic. Notice the new PBS39 studios next door. Explore the programming – it’s simply awesome.
24th Annual Celtic Classic. If you went as a student, you’ll want to return for a walk down memory lane. The festival is still on the Historic Bethlehem Quarter – and this year’s US Highland Games championships are scheduled all week. If the football game isn’t enough, come by for a caber toss. Great music and activities for the whole family.
Wind up your weekend with a relaxing faculty recital back at Zoellner Arts Center on Sunday at 3pm. Robin Kani, flute and Martha Schrempel, piano will perform works by French composers. More info.
